U.S. National News - A group of work at home moms have combined resources to hold a unique "Christmas Shopping Bash" to showcase their home business products.
A group of thirty work at home moms from across the United States have banded together to increase their online holiday sales. "The Christmas Shopping Bash" is an online event that showcases the products for sale by these entrepreneurial mothers.
The Bash will take place on November 14, 2003 at InternetBasedMoms.com, an online community for work at home moms. The event begins at 9AM PST and runs all day.
The event is much like a direct sales home party where guests can come and receive information about the products, socialize with other guests, play a few "party games" and even win prizes. However, this party has one major difference…it takes place in an online chat room. Plus, guests have a chance to win over $400 in prizes.
Jodi Plume, Tricia McWilliams and Billie McWilliams are the work at home mom organizers of the shopping event, "We help create the party bashes because online parties are a blast and we love helping people," they say.
Direct sales and home parties are a booming business. According to the Direct Sales Association, home parties accounted for 8.3 billion dollars in sales in the United States.
