Creating a Theme-Based Website - Make Money with your Hobby!

A Theme-Based Site is an informational website based around a particular theme.

You provide great information to your website visitors, send out an informative newsletter & perhaps create a community with a message board or chat rooms for those interested in your theme.

But how do you make money?

You can sell memberships, advertising or participate in new programs like Google's AdSense, where you can run their text-based ads and receive income every time someone clicks an ad. This kind of program is ideal for content sites.

A theme-based content website is also an excellent promotional tool for your product business and/or business opportunity. Create a free site with valuable information related to your product or opportunity. Use that steady flow of traffic and subscribers to promote your offerings.

- because you provide information resources, you constantly need to ensure you are providing up to date information
- If you offer interactive services (message boards, chat rooms, etc.), you will likely have to provide some technical support.

- Concentrate on building a quality website with keyword rich pages. This will help drive visitors through search engines to your website.

- Don't simply paste affiliate banners on your site. It's not effective. Incorporate your product recommendations into your website content.

- You will sell better if you have tried the products. Don't lose your shirt, but do try to use the products you are recommending.

- Your key to success is building your newsletter subscriber list & driving traffic to your website ~ the more people read about you, the more they will trust your recommendations.

- Add interactivity to your site and make your visitors feel like they're a part of your website. This can be through chat rooms, message boards, discussion groups, a calendar of events, online seminars and places to post their articles and opinions.
